# ¿Por Qué Se Requiere el Proceso KYC?

KYC (Know Your Customer, o “Conoce a tu cliente”) es un proceso estándar exigido por las regulaciones financieras internacionales. Cumple con varios propósitos importantes:

* **Cumplimiento con las Regulaciones**\
  El proceso KYC garantiza que el exchange cumpla con los requisitos internacionales de Prevención de Lavado de Dinero (AML) y Financiamiento del Terrorismo (CTF). Esto ayuda a prevenir actividades ilegales como el lavado de dinero, la financiación del terrorismo y el fraude.
* **Verificación de Identidad del Usuario**\
  Al verificar la identidad de cada usuario, el exchange puede confirmar que las cuentas sean genuinas y no se hayan creado con información robada o falsificada.
* **Seguridad de la Cuenta y de los Activos**\
  Las cuentas verificadas reducen significativamente el riesgo de acceso no autorizado, robo de identidad y transacciones fraudulentas. Esto ayuda a proteger tanto a los usuarios como a la plataforma.
* **Acceso Mejorado a los Servicios**\
  Completar el proceso KYC suele ofrecer a los usuarios límites de transacción y retiro más altos, además de acceso a funciones y servicios más avanzados.
