# Backpack VIP Program ## VIP Program Backpack's VIP Program rewards active participants with lower fees, priority access to new products, and dedicated support. There are two ways to reach VIP status: staking BP or trading. Your tier is based on whichever path places you higher, whether that's BP staked or 30-day trading volume. ## What You Get **Lower trading fees.** Spot maker fees as low as 0%, taker as low as 0.025%. Futures maker as low as 0%, taker as low as 0.018%. [Full fee schedule below](#fee-schedule). **Free wire transfers.** From VIP 1, no flat fees on wire deposits or withdrawals (up to $200K over a rolling 30-day window). **Extra USD yield.** Up to +3% APY on lent USD collateral. Your tier is determined by how much BP you have staked, from 50,000 BP for VIP 1 up to 500,000 BP for VIP 5. On top of the core VIP benefits, BP stakers also get: * [**Equity Exchange Program**](https://support.backpack.exchange/exchange/backpack-participant-program#equity-exchange-program)**.** Convert staked $BP into equity in Backpack from a reserved pool. After one year of continuous staking, the Base Activation Phase unlocks, followed by a Bonus Phase of up to three years. The more you stake and the longer you hold, the larger your equity allocation. No application needed. Tiers are based on rolling 30-day trading volume and recalculate continuously. This path gives you access to all core VIP benefits (fee discounts, wire fee reductions, dedicated support, etc.). You can apply to have your status matched on Backpack. Status Match gets you immediate access to a corresponding VIP tier, including lower fees and reduced wire costs within applicable limits.
